Fern Campervans was born in New Zealand, shaped by months on the road, weekend escapes, and a practical love of life outdoors.
That early experience still guides every van that leaves our Somerset workshop. Our campervans are designed to feel capable, comfortable, and considered, giving you the self-sufficiency to go further and the warmth to feel like home wherever you stop.
With British craftsmanship and a sense of Kiwi independence, Fern builds campervans that help people explore at their own pace, with more room for adventure.

Chief Creative Officer
William founded Fern Campervans while exploring and living in the wilds of New Zealand with his wife Tilly, and Bertie the Fox Terrier. Adventures over the years have taken many forms; mountain biking through the Himalayas, hiking in the bush of NZ or canoeing on a myriad of Scottish rivers.
His background as a Design Engineer at Dyson means every challenge is targeted from the user’s perspective, and combined with technical know-how to ensure the end result is both intuitive and robust.

Chief Operating Officer
Tom is a Chartered Accountant who left his job as Head of Finance for a multi-national engineering company to co-found Fern Campervans. He makes sure the finance and operational sides of the business run smoothly, allowing us to spend more time creating the perfect campervan for your adventures.
When Tom isn’t immersed in spreadsheets, he spends as much time as he can outdoors – riding his horse, walking on the Mendips, and travelling the world.

Director of Communications
Tilly’s background in project management and extensive experience of van life in both the UK and New Zealand lends her a unique skillset that keeps everything (and everyone!) on track.
When she gets time away from managing Fern’s socials, Tilly loves exploring remote mountain ranges with her husband Will, and faithful terrier, Bertie.

Director of Assets
Lucy is a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer. She brings a wealth of real estate knowledge to our growing business, keeping her ear to the ground for our next ‘goldilocks’ premises.
When not hobby-browsing Rightmove, you’ll probably find her on her horse at the beach, galloping into the sunset and dreaming of her next equine adventure abroad.

Hamish works across branding, marketing, digital, and customer-facing content, helping Fern to communicate our craft, character, and attention to detail. He brings together the creative, the commercial, and the practical, to solve problems and improve processes.
Away from the desk, Hamish is tinkering with 3D prints, walking Ted the Welsh Terrier, or finding another creative project to overthink.
